Spell out your words. And the dmesg line is very clear...either you're overclocking your machine, or it's running too hot.

Generally dmesg is a kernel log.

Code:
NAME
dmesg - print or control the kernel ring buffer

Have you checked the CPU's temperature?

You were answered. You asked what the purpose was of DMESG command which has been answered.

If you want to know why you are getting those messages, TB0ne answered you. DMESG will not solve the overclock/heating issue.

There is a third option, this may be does not have anything to do with (manual) overclocking or overheating, this simply can be the turbo function of newer CPUs, where single cores are automatically overclocked as long as the thermal design power (TDP) is not exceeded.
I would recommend to open a new thread regarding this issue, with more information about your laptop and the temperatures you get.
