How could one remove a installed pakage for eg i have both smtp and post fix installed in my computer I dont want smtp and want it removed..can any one help me how to do that.?

Hi. What distro are you using? If you have installed via rpm you can remove any package by doing:

rpm -e <package name>

replacing <package name> with ummm yes the name of the package of course.

You should make the subject of your post a little more informative then 'Hi'.
