Pretty good, but you have to be able to spell and capitalize correctly.

Yes using the "spell check" will help here a lot.
Anyway use the search faction to look for simular threads, go to www.distrowatch.com to check out distro's, starting with live cd is good idea check out: PCLinuxOS, Mepis, KNOPPIX all the 3 are good pickup one.

It's a great thing - but it's not like it's magic.

It's just another OS - which means it offers you a different way to run your computer. It's not going to magically do everything you need or just be amazing all of a sudden. It really depends on what you use the computer for, what your needs are, etc.

We appreciate the difficulties encountered by people who are learning English as their second language.... A few tips:
Don't capitalize every word
Breakup sentences into smaller pieces.

Here is the better way to write the above:
OK--So I have a PC. However, it keeps crashing and that is not good. I am considering getting Linux and would like some input/advice.
Thank you....

Good question!!! My advice would be to grab any of the free distributions and try it. Perhaps the simmplest way is to buy a magazine such as Linux Format that comes bundled with CDs or a DVD. If you have a high-speed connection, you can download a CD image. Finally, there are many sites that sell CDs---and Ubuntu will send you one FREE!
Good starting distros: Ubuntu, Fedora, Open SUSE

Why

Why are we responding to the fraggingcrackrzonmeth wannabe's post? Can't we just let it die the quick and silent death it deserves?

I believe Mr. Dragineez is a constructive member here. Several of us share the feeling that the OP here is a class-1 looky-loo (at best). If we don't hear back in a day or two, we'll know we were right....

Besides--I kind of like the new buzzword: "fraggingcrackrzonmeth wannabe" (FCMW)....

@pixellany: I believe Mr. Dragineez is a constructive member here.
You try to discuss a moderator decision with a mod and speaking for a fellow LQ member as well. This is not the place for that kind of discussion as it has the potential to derail this thread. Please keep this thread on topic. If you need to discuss mod things you're invited to email me.

@cs-cam: MEMBER-MOD FIGHT!!!!!!!!. Mods usually neutralize bogeys in under two rounds due to near-perfect key combo execution and a limitless supply of mind candy. I'd suggest you don't fuel hopes of a successful round one too much...
