HewlettPackard 3520 printer has a label "eprint" but

what does picture (icon?) of ((|)) mean


lp command produces nothing.

I'm running Mint 13 Cinnamon.

You have cups installed and configured? Support for the printer?
Do a search for installing and using CUPS on Mint. Look to see if there is linux support for that printer.
