hi there

in the modem tab in kppp
choose ur modem device ,not the /dev/modem instead rhe actual modem device like /dev/ttys0 and see if u gt any result for query modem

hi masand, i have tried earlier sending query as /dev/ttyS0 and create link ln -s /dev/modem /dev/ttyS0. another error msg appeared "error 8". my modem is internal. i heard from afreind of mine that maybe my modem isnt linux supported, could that be right? thanks

yes u have that kind of problems in linux with internal modem coz there internal modems are basically winmodems

that is the reason i told u to check out for various devices in the modem query tab

also did u try out other devices like ttys1 as well

regards
