Help with insmod. I have a problem with insmod.
insmod will fail to recognize that the module for my PCTel HSP 56 modem driver exists!!! I followed the instuctions and managed to solve the missing modversions.h error message problem, but now another obstacle, insmod will refuse to acknowledge that the module, "pctel" exists!!!
it might be worthwile to try specifying the entire path of the .ko file for the concerned modules to insmod.
Try it out and see if that solves your problem
You might want to try installing an earlier version of the driver. I've come across problems where unresolved symbols came up but getting an earlier version of the driver solved the problem. Just a suggestion.

Well, I did the kernel recompiling process, which ended with no error messages at all, but still have the dreaded unresolved symbol problem:
Code:
/pctel-0.9.6/modules/pctel.o: unresolved symbol __UDELAY
/pctel-0.9.6/modules/pctel.o: unresolved symbol kmalloc
/pctel-0.9.6/modules/pctel.o: unresolved symbol kfree
