Unhappy Help with driver installation is needed.

I have the tarball for my Linmodem (Intel536ep) and I need to know, step by step, what the hell to do with it.

I have Redhat 8.0 in the workstation installation.

I have no idea of what I;m doing. I want to learn though.

Welcome to Linux and stickboy64!

Did you download your OS? You'll need a good book to go with it - I recommend "Running Linux", "Learning Linux" or "Linux in a Nutshell" from O'Reilly.

tar -xvzf tarballfile.tar.gz

yes I did download it. I'll look for the books (or one of them).

Let's see what Staples has to offer.
