Help with character settings Centos 5.5

Hi,

If I make a textfile in Windows containing едц (swedish letters) and then move the file over to my centos machine I can see the едц in the file if I open it in VIM.

If I try to edit the file or if I make a new file in VIM it won't give me those letters. It only prints Г¤O and other unreadable stuff.

How do I fix this?

I've been able to make apache interpret едц so that works, but only if I make the file in windows and transfer it over to Centos.

Best regards

Johan Skott

And what's the locale on the centos box?

Cheers,
