help with cdr no-fixate

Ok, I have read everything about this that I can find, and tried all of the suggestions, yet I can't seem to get it to work.

Here is what I want to do - I want to be able to treat my cdr as a normal floppy disk where I can write some data to it at work, take it home, read it at home, and then add more data to the disk at home, etc. This is easy enough with windoz, so I am hoping there is a secret handshake I need to know to make it work under linux.

I have tried the no-fixate option with xcdroast. When I use DAO, it seems to fixate anyway. When I use TAO, it doesn't fixate, but then I can't read anything on the CD and it keeps treating it as a blank disc. This is true even when I use the "fixate only" button in xcdroast - it still reads the disc as a blank disc.

Someone please give me a hand with this. I'm getting a bit frustrated.

It's called a multisession CD.

Try KisoCD or Gnome Toaster.

You're welcome. I just noticed yesterday that k3b also has multisession support too.
