Help w/SUSE linux for a tard

I just installed SuSE 10.2 on my laptop with the promise that it would be easy to set up and use. It has proven to be neither, and I am seriously considering returning to WinXP.

I have a 900 MHz Duron notebook, and I need to know how to:

-Get my D-Link DWL G122 USB wifi adapter to work
-Enable MP3 playing/ install said codec
-Get GTK-Gnutella, or ANY gnutella client to work
-Enable 3d acceleration (trident video card)

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

First, don't expect to fire up Linux and have everything work the way Windows does. Once you get "in the groove" you will discover that some things are infinitely better....

One problem at a time: Can you find the wireless setup in the menus? Does it see your wireless adapter?

Here's a Google listing--might be helpful:

As far as MP3's go, reddazz has written a great guide here. For gnutella, I always use LimeWire, which has a Linux version.

10.2 is out?!?! (holy crap this distro moves fast)

as for the hardware you should be able to just plug it in and YaST should bring you through an interface, or you can manually start yast (use the search thing in the KDE menu if you cant find it) and configure your network card from the network devices panel thing. for 3-d acceleration, I usually enable it during the installation, but im not exactly sure how to do it after its installed...use google

suse also comes with a Gnutella (i think i spelled that right) client although i do prefer limewire

since your switchching from windows the book "Linux Bible" by Christopher Negus is something you should check out...probably obtainable through Gnutella
