help w/ dns stuff
Hello All:
My isp just told me that they are migrating dns servers and that I should take out my dns addresses for me to logon. I wasn't aware that I could logon w/out dns addresses. Can I? And how do I take out those addresses? I imagine that there's something else I should do (unless it's all taken care of on their end) Please let me know. Thanks, ergo_sum |
Your dns server config file is /etc/resolv.conf

Can I connect to internet via isp w/out dns ?

You don't need dns if you are only using ip addresses. If you want to use name resolution (e.g., www.linuxquestions.org) then you will need dns.
