Hi everyone,im new to this ubuntu os with no real working knowledge. My problem is this:ubuntu 11.04 done an update and now it wont boot to the desktop. It uses BusyBox v1.18.4(Ubuntu1:1.18.4-2ubuntu2).I can hold down shift to get the grub if i just let it boot up on its own it offers the recovery mode and when i select it it comes up with a initramfs prompt and im stuck as to where to go from here.
If anyone can help i would be very greatful.
Thanks Jim

ubuntu 11.04 done an update
Is that a typo because 11.04 has not been supported for two years which means the standard method of updating won't work. Did you mean 14.04. If you are using 11.04 you will need to indicate how you did the update. What did you update, new kernel or just some software?
