HELP Two Displays - How do you switch between the two?

Hi guys

I got a new tv, and hooked up my computer to it as a secondary display other than my regular pc monitor. Now I have an Nvidia graphics card and first I setup both displays as twin and just lay one over the other with the same resolution. But the thing is the tv has more resolution than the monitor plus the shape is different so in the Nvidia Configuration I made them separate screens and set them up as different displays.

So now what happens is that what I do on my computer monitor does not happen on my tv, my tv just displays a desktop. Which I guess is a different desktop. Is there such a thing as having two desktops in ubuntu? I know you can have 2 work spaces but not two desktops.

How can I switch to the desktop in my tv?

I am running on ubuntu studio Hardy by the way...

Use the nvidia-settings menu item to configure the second screen; you can select either separate desktops or a single ones that spans multiple screens.
