Help! trying to install Fedora core 6 on harddrive which already has VISTA on it

Hi Forum,

I am trying to install FC6 on the same harddrive which has Windows Vista on it. Looks like this doesn't seem to be possible? because i cannot do the partition to install fc6. Earlier when I tried to install FC6 on the harddrive with XP on it, Grub did the partitioning.

I am kind of lost!

Does anybody have step by step instructions to do this? or If anybody has any idea why this is happening ? could anybody can explain and how can I achieve this?

Thanks,
TP

Google. First hit for Vista Linux "dual boot" search.

Use something like the SystemRescuesCD to resize the Vista partition then install Linux;

FYI: the SystemRescueCD is a nice tool to have handy as you will see.
