Question help to setup wireless.

Hello friends

I have purchased a new HP DV6000z laptop

I have installed suse 10.2 linux.

I need help to use my wireless card.

I need help from scratch, as to how do I know what is the name of my wireless card.

I know its an a/b/g card with bluetooth, but dont know the vendor name.

I know ndiswrapper can help, but I need steps, to follow from the beginning.

Any more information you need, kindly post here, and I would reply.

Do help me out.

thanks

Is the card built-in to the computer? You might be able to look in the documentation if so.

In any case, in a terminal you can try the commands
lspci -v
and
lspci -n
to get more information. The lspci-v is something you can read through, looking for the section(s) that refer to your wireless card. Post the relevant sections. Also post all of the output from lspci -n. That information should help others who are more familiar with your distribution point you in the correct direction.
