I am fairly new the the finer details of linux. I need to setup an autologin for a specific user on fc5. Why fc5 you ask well it was the only distro disks we had available at the time of install. Please help. I have the latest kernel.

You are gonna need to use a login manager for X
probably the easiest one is KDM (comes with kde)
from there it's easy...just login as admin (root) and go to the kde settings and then go to the administration section
