Help setting the time trough the command line

I'm using Blackbox as graphical interface, on the bottom left corner there is a little clock thing. The time is incorrect. How to set the time? It has to be trough the command line (I think)! One more thing, how do I maximize something I have minimized (trough the command line)?

to set automaticly try ntpdate your gonna need a ntp server but you can find these all over the net. here's and example of how i set the time on my machine where i live.

# ntpdate ntp1.kansas.net

also make sure your timezone is correct you might also check that the time is set to localtime and not utc time.
