help rm: cannot remove : Read-only file system

i was testing a rsync by copy a bunch of files from /lib and /sbin
to my temp folders. Then try to remove the temp folder.

For some reason, I cannot remove them. I do everything by root user.
Here is what i tried. Is there other way to remove them?

Quote:
# pwd
/mnt/md0/temp/m1
[root@ m1]# ls -l mkfs
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 6912 Jul 27 2005 mkfs
[root@ m1]# chmod 777 mkfs
chmod: changing permissions of `mkfs': Read-only file system
[root@ m1]# rm -f mkfs
rm: cannot remove `mkfs': Read-only file system

Let's see output from the following:
  • # mount
  • # file /mnt/md0/temp/m1/mkfs

Please post the output in code tags.
