Help resolution somehow changed

Im new to debian/linux, i used to have a normal screen where i can see everything just fine. Then i went to dinner and suddenly my screen resolution changedto samller or something.

Now not everything is on the screen, what is the problem and what can i do to change it?

Can you tell us a bit more? What distribution are you using? What were you doing when the screen changed? etc.

Did perhaps a cat (or similar) step on the keyboard (well, she'd have to be very agile…) and hit [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[+] (or [-]), thus zooming in/out? Or yourself maybe without knowing?

Yves.

tredegar 02-26-2009 04:32 PM

You cannot spell, you can't punctuate, you cannot even describe your problem clearly, you cannot provide any useful information. You are "strugelin for a weekend with it now", but it's only Thursday.

You can bleat though.

Please help us to help you, first by learning to help yourself.

The problem is that my resolution wont go higher than 960x600. I have been working on this problem the past weekend and didnt work on it from monday till today.

Happy now? -_-

No, in a word.

Have you searched the net for a solution to your problem ?
What were the results ?
What have you tried to fix the problem ?
What happened ?

Which distro are you using ?

What is your video hardware ?
Which video driver are you using ?
What is your xorg.conf ?

Mad at you

You might get more co-operation from tredegar and others if you read and absorbed the spirit as well as the letter this guide.
