help required


i have installed Mplayer on my system having Red hat 9. it always give an error when its starts
the error says.
New_face fail.Maybe the font path is wrong.
please supply the text font file.
(~/.mplayer/subfong.ttf)


but i have installed the font packages available at Mplayer site.(www.mplayerhq.com)but it woudl always give the same error.
can some one help me out.

Copy one of your favourite truetype fonts to ~/.mplayer and rename it to subfont.ttf.

which file. there r about 3 files in a font directory. which file r u talking about??

Copy any single truetype font to ~/.mplayer and rename it to subfont.ttf. You can get fonts from the mplayer website or from your system font directories e.g. /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype.
