help!, power failure, fsck

I am running SuSE 9.1 Pro and the power went off, without me shutting down Linux properly. Now when I try to boot up I can only get to the command line interface and it says fsck failed, do it manually. My hard drive partition is a ReiserFS. I just don't know what to do. I tried fsck on the hard drive but it said cannot do it as drive has got write permissions on it. Help me please!
