Hi,

I would have a read of this website. It has something that caters for all.

I have pendrive linux installed on my 16GB corsair pendrive. Its so cool. It boots on top of windows. You can have your own separate hard disk and it saves your last config changes.

Ubuntu has a handy tool called usb-creator, with it you can create a thumbdrive install of Ubuntu. It's very user friendly.

Try this:

But there are many different distro's. Dont stick with one. Try them to see if they match your needs.

An LQ member, linus72, has done a lot of work putting various distros on USB sticks. Search for his posts.

You can try puppylinux. It can be used from cd/dvd as well, and still you will be able to save settings(provided you are having disc writer)
