Cool Help please! FORMAT KUBUNTU

To start off this thread, I have absolutely nothing against linux or its distros.
My dad received a computer that had kubuntu installed on it with no partitions.

Theres a saying that you cant teach old monkeys to climb and so this is why Ive created a thread here after numerous google searches on how to remove linux from a box.

What he wants to do with the pc is format the HD, completely removing the *nix distro and install winblows xp home edition.

Ive tried booting with the xp installation disc thinking there would be a format option but the options given at installation are the following:
-install xp
-repair
-exit installation.

I didnt go ahead and install, out of fear the installation would fail or bug or something..

Help with resolving this matter asap would be greatly appreciated!

just go ahead with install, it will ask you that on which drive you want to install and the option of deleting/re-creating the existing partitions
So just delete all the existing partitions and create new one's as per your requirements

how can you have no partitions?, you have to have at least 2 partitions, unless you use a swap file, which most people don't.
