Help on sendmail

I am installed Red hat 9.0 . It is connected to Internet by a Masqerading server. I can surf internet but when it ry to send mail to the internet or itseld wve it show s the bellow error. Where do i change to make my sendmail operational.

Is sendmail running? Do you have a firewall?

No my security low . When i had removed the file and then run sendmail again only local mails are getting delivered and mails can be send to the internet. But the mails cannot be recieved
