help, noob mail server

Hello everybody,

I have a dedicated server and webhosting in america.
I do own a little webhosting company. 2 of my clients need to
send a lot of mails (no spam, one ofr support issue, and one for large client database).
When they try to use their normal mail configurations, they get errors and mail doesn't get sent.
I want to setup this dedicated server as a mail server. so my clients have no further problems.

What do you suggest? I'm despirate.

I menth "the current ISP mailbox", or "the current mail box included with their hosting.
Errors are the smtp program failing. (I use cPanel)
