Help! New to Linux


How do I setup Mandrake 10.0 to be on my Network. I have Win XP on the other machines

Do me a favor, and go to google.com/linux - and search for what you are looking for.
Give it a go.....and then....if you get stuck - come back - and we'll help you from there........

hi
configure samba server to acces winxp from linux and vice versa

edit /etc/samba/smb.conf or use swat(samba web admin tool)

also go for
#man samba

Moreover, please be specific in you title.

Something like "Howto configure mandrake on network" would be nice for those of perusing the forum.

Strictly speaking we don not have time to write walkthroughs (we might give a link), we're hear if and when the walkthrough fails.
