Help needed with Squid

Hi

Ive installed squid as part of the base system install.......however
I now need to reconfigure it to allow it to use a new ACL type...
How would i go about doing this...
All the sites say use ./configure ............... but how can you do that when it has been installed from an RPM...

vi /etc/squid/squid.conf

search for ACCESS
find line "acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0"
change all to your acl name change first 4 zero to your subnet change second to your netmask.
search for INSERT YOUR OWN RULE(S) HERE TO ALLOW ACCESS FROM YOUR CLIENTS

insert
http_access allow <your_acl>

restart squid
