Help needed to setup PPPoE connection on ubuntu

I use cablenet (no cable modem, or router...just a cable attached to the LAN card provided by my ISP)
I have just installed Ubuntu along with XP (dual-boot). I want to setup my net PPPoE connection.
I have downloaded RP-PPPoE from WindowsXP as I cannot download it from Ubuntu. How can I run it on Ubuntu 5.10? Is there any other way to setup a PPPoE connection? I Googled a lot..but couldn't find anything relavant. Even the Ubuntu help is of no use.
I have decided to update ubuntu after setting up my connection.

Please help.

Thanks in advance

P.S: I am a BIG Noob in Linux

if i recall, you open a terminal and type
sudo pppoeconf
then answer the questions. I picked all the defaults (except username and password)
then it should be ready to go and auto connect when you reboot.

Not working...
In windows I have to go to Run ---> pppoecfg to start the access concentrator ---> Query services, select & create a dialup of the connection which I am using out of four connections. (Hope you understand)

But the problem is how will I create a connection of my ISP from Ubuntu.

Thanks in advance,
