Help!!! My monitor is not getting configured Properly in Mandrake 9.1

I just got myself Mandrake 9.1. I am not able to configure my monitor. The configure screen in the install showed "NOT CONFIGURED" in red at the monitor. I then tried to install the monitor considering the capability of my monitor (LG Studioworks 500G), which has a horizontal refresh rate of 30-54 and a Vertical Refresh Rate of 50-120 and a resolution of 1024X768 with 24 Bit Color. But the test image said "Error Occured- Screen Layout not known-Try changing some parameters." or some such thing. I then tried to get a custom monitor set up. But the same error occured. My System is an AMD 1700+ XP with an MSI Motherboard (ProSavage8 4 Graphics, that is detected properly aas Savage4.) But I don't understand the error.
The system says screen setting is "Frame Buffer" and does not start up KDE. It gives me a command line instead. My system gave me no problems with Mandrake 8.2, but does with Mandrake 9.1.

Please help!!!

In Mandrake 9.1, there is no such command.
You need to enter XFdrake instead.
