help my backup dvds..

Hello, i did a fresh format, and i burned a couple of dvds with all my data on them. Now i'm on a fresh system using suse 9.2 and when iwant to copy a file from the dvd to my hard drive it just stalls and does nothing...
Then after a while when i use the console, it starts to give me an error such as:

cp: reading `Art/26.gif': Input/output error

Anyone know what's the matter?

looks like a bad brun or crap media. Try another drive (namely, the one you burnt it in) and pray.
