Hello all
am so proud to be one of this gr8 forum
and am also shy as my first post asks for help

i have a Linux System Called "Mikrotik" on a virtual machine ,and i want to Move it (Migrate ) to a Physical Machine.
im using windows Seven, and if there is another Linux system i can use to be replaced with Windows Seven , i will install it to finish this job.

I think it would help if you gave exact details of the type of vm it is... the format, fs, ect..

There shouldn't be a problem doing what you want.. but without more info.. noone will be able to help you :(

I've used Acronis for this job, but you can probably use a different bare metal backup program.

Remove the Virtual machine additions, if any.

Backup your system from within the VM.

Restore to a physical harddrive. You might have problems with the kernel, and device drivers being different in the VM than in the physical machine. A rescue disk of your distro can usually be used to fix those, with some manual work.

You're probably better off saving your data and doing a reinstall of the system, then restoring your data.
