can your machine see the internet at all?
looks like your computer isn't able to see a dns service therefore can't resolve that address to it's proper IP address and therefore cant find it
proper ability to access the internet is a prerequisite to using online repositories from yum ;)

Welcome to LQ.

For Fedora 8 it should be like that.
Only 13 month's support from Redhat.

The 'rpmfusion repo' can be used for a lot of multimedia
http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

Please click this line on the site :
' RPM Fusion free for Fedora 8, 9 or 10 '
and
' RPM Fusion nonfree for Fedora 8, 9 or 10 '

to download 2 small packages with repositories,
install them with # rpm -Uvh <package>
and the repositories will be set up automatically in /etc/yum.repos.d

( Or use " Command Line Setup using rpm " )

.....

Welcome to LQ!

You don't have your network setup properly. You should tag your post a little better. You should also post within the thread a request defined so as to indicate your problem, what you have done and error information (which is all that you posted).

You should look at the next 4 links to get a better understanding, especially the second link;
