Hi and welcome to LQ!
Maybe you should detail what you want.
What's your specific problem?
What's your distro?

"For example..." was a question.

You will need to give us some actual information to work with, some examples.

I also think that you need to pause and adjust your perspective a little. There is no all powerfule universal intrusion and control software and while there are plenty of malicious people and programs, there is no need to attribute to them every thing that you don't understand.

So, let'sstart with "I cannot get inot my root...". Please explain what you mean by that, how you are trying to get in and what messages you are receiving as a result.

And as kooru asked, what distro are you using?

You might start here.

W-h-a-t d-i-s-t-r-o ?

What are you doing to get that message?

Why do you think it is someone controlling your computer?

I was not trying to be difficult, but chasing ghostly intruders is a collosal waste of time, so I was trying to get down to a fact that we could grab onto.

So, from here I found:

Code:
Bug report: Geeky error message when trying to find applications online

..."GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.Packagekit.Modify.Cancelled:" ...

"Yep, it is still affecting 12.04 LTS with latest update as of today."
So, according to the all knowing google, there is a bug in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS that results in this particular message being generated under some circumstances.

All we know of your circumstance is that it happens after you login, so within those bounds it sounds like you might be triggering the bug.

Hi. Try: firewalld and gufw to start but if already compromised could be lots more learning than that; plus, considering Ubuntu is at the forefront of some of the change for Linux could just be time to move for more control like LFS, netinst or many others... this thread could help too: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...re-4175488023/ best wises and have fun.

There is no "root" in Ubuntu. This probably explains why you can't "get access to root."

Ubuntu users use "sudo" instead of root as described in these links:
