help me!! my acer aspire one netbook will not start
 

my aspire one netbook which uses linux will not start. when i press the power button, it starts booting then will just give me a blank screen. my problem is that i dont know my system user password so can go into setup. someone please help!!!!!!

Could you be more specific and give more details about your issues? What distribution is installed on your system? What version of the distribution? What was scene before this happened? What changes did you make to your system before it went down? Are you dual booting?
Have you tried booting into single user mode or rescue mode?
