"Help Me" I am working on migrating builds from CentOs 5.7 to 6.3

I am working on migrating process with shard libraries, but I am facing issue while accessing libyahoo.so. it is working on CentOS 5.7(gcc 4.1.2) not working on CentOs 6.3(gcc 4.4.6). Build process after reaching(accessing libyahoo.so), it hangs the process.

I have downloaded the rpm libpurple-2.7.9-5.el6.2.i686.rpm - I copied libyahoo.so from here to out source directory, but no use issue is still persist.

Could you please give me help about this issue.
Many thanks in advance.
