Help me choose a laptop
I am looking at two models. One is Dell Inspiron and the other one is Samsung. They are priced roughly the same.

The Dell comes with Intel i3 / integrated video and the Samsung comes with AMD / ATI Radeon video.

Which one should I get? I do not play very intense games but I do like designing webpages/graphic works.

Thanks a lot, experts on Linux Questions~~

thanks a lot!!

I've always had a pretty good experience with Dell laptops. Personally I go for Lenovo (IBM) as they tend to run very well with Linux.

If you want to put a distro of Linux on there (whatever computer you choose). I suggest mint or Ubuntu

I have had excellent experience with Dell laptops and desktops. The only thing problematic is that Dell tends to favor Broadcom wireless, so you may have an extra step or two to get the wireless running.

I am typing this on a Dell 1545n using Broadcom wireless and running Slackware-Current. I have Salix on my netbook (also with Broadcom wireless), and Slackware-Current on my Acer Travelmate laptop.

I personally have lost patience with Ubuntu, but both the Dells mentioned above worked flawlessly with factory-installed Ubuntu out of the box.
