Question help me blue tooth dungle installation problem in redhat linux 9


hi friends,
i am a begnner in linux instade of i want to move myself from mswindows to linux enviourment so please help me how to install a USB bluetooth dungle in redhart linux 9 os .
right now i am useing a blutooth dungle which is fully supported in all version of mswindows enviournoment .
my device name is ENTER,VESION V2.0 AND MODEL NO IS E-UBTV.(menufacturer web sites name is enter.com)
is there any drivers software is requir or any rpm package is erquier please tell me.

Have you tried just plugging it in? Almost all USB Bluetooth adapters are supported out of the box in Linux, in fact, I have never used one that wasn't.

Plug the adapter in, make sure BlueZ is running, and run "hciconfig" to see if it is working.

but how can i know that the bluez is running or not
if it need to install which bluez i need to install. first of all i am a fresher in this field so please can u explain each step complitly

Are you really using RHL9 (Shrike) https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped...Red_Hat_Linux? As you can see it was obsolete many years ago and may not support modern bluetooth HW.
Get a modern distro like Fedora 14 or Ubuntu & try that.

Spell out your words, please.

As chrism01 pointed out, RedHat 9 is very, VERY old. Use something current, like Fedora 14, and it will probably 'just work' when you install it.
