I have a problem with the Master Boot Record. Somehow, at the boot loader, there are two Linux Red Hat 9s rather than a single one. I have a windows 2k pro and red hat 9....i don't think i should have 2 linux os'. please help me with this problem.

thank you

Did you upgrade your RedHat system lately ?

Let me guess, the two entries are Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-19.9) and Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-8).
If this is the case, you have two kernels on your system.

Edit:

If you want to remove the old kernel, take a look at this post.
