Help!! Make file:62: *** Linux source not found. Stop.


Help!!!
After I enter command #make install it shows following error code

Make file:62: *** Linux source not found. Stop.

what is that mean?and how to get it work?

It looks like you need the kernel-source. It'll be on your installation CD.

thank for helping, but i cant find kernel-source in my installation CD, i am using Debian, and my network in not working so what can i do with this??

Depending on the version you're using, it should be listed under "Development" or something similar. Failing that, you can always download the source matching your kernel (type uname -r from a terminal to find the exact version) from here.

thanx again, I have install kernel source, but it still shows the same error code(Make file:62: *** Linux source not found. Stop.) after i enter command "#make install"???
pls help me? what should i do now?

what are you trying to make? What program? It might be easier to help with that knowledge.

Hi

I am tring to install driver of my network card,I cant do anything without network.
My Network card: Intel PRO/100 VE
