Xandros runs on Debian 2.4.22-X1 (dunno if this helpfull or should I give more details, if so please tell me the steps necesarry to tell you guys) 4-COMPILING!!! I already have GCC but have 0 idea on how to use it 5- general commands that I should know about... 6- the more the better... lol I think I have asked enough for 1 day |
1 from a terminal as root alsaconf
choose your card, configure it. then alsamixer unmute your sound and set default volume levels. the alsactl store to store your settings. 2 ctrl+alt+backspace should kill the xsession 3 we'll need to know what modem you have 4 shouldn't be an issue until you have something to compile 5 http://linux-newbie.sunsite.dk/lnag_commands.html 6 good luck |

only 1 gripe could you make #1 more detailed? as I'm lost as hell or do you think I should go experiments on Xandros own boards? as they're "supposed" to have a better idea on how there Debian works |
open a terminal
Code:
peacedog@peacedog:~$ su - http://www.alsa-project.org/ as far as checking other boards, any information from any board can useful in a search for answers. there is however, a search function, and a debian distrobution specific forum, here at lq. you can find them here http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/search.php http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=26 good luck. |
