Help Klauncher said "Error loading 'kio_file'
 

On boot I get the message

klauncher said "Error loading 'kio_file'

when kde launches I receive no icons on the desktop. I cannot use Konqueror for local file browing

Help me I am perplexed. I assume it is missing a file but I have no idea where the file show be or what it should contain.

I am new to linux and am somewhat unfimiliar with the shell. not even sure how to search for the file (up until now I have search with x but this is not workink):smash:

What distro and version of kde are you using?

Mandrake 8,1
KDE 2.2.1

The best thing to do would be upgrade to KDE 2.2.2, you can get mandrake 8.1 rpm's here, you'll need to download all of them.
