help in using a palm treo 680 in linux (fedora core)

Hi all, first let me say, that I'm sorry if this has been posted before or that the information is on the net but I've looked every where to ty to find out how to get it to do what i want to do & as I haven't been using palms that long, got me first ever one on Tuesday (never used one before) and only been using Linux proper now for a couple of weeks, used to use it on & off for about 2 or 3 years but never with a pda smartphone. I'm using gnome as my desktop and have get the palm set up in gnome-pilot and the laptop has been synced to the palm no problem for the user id. that was no problem. what the problem is really

1) when I did a test of Ubuntu 8.04 in the conducts for gnome-pilot there was loads of them including E-Contacts , E-Calander, E-Memo & E-today to be able to sync bi-direction with Evolution, but under Fedora in the conducts the E plugins dont appear to show, I have downloaded the gnome-pilot extra plugins from fedora core repos but they dont show. how can i sync my contacts & other stuff to & from Evolution?

2) is there a GUI for gnome-pilot to be able to install software onto the palm device instead of having to have to keep resorting to the command line or using open with (what i mean by that is, the command line only works for single files, not multi files). I do know about jpilot & have used it before, but as i don't want 2 lots of databases all over the place 1 for gnome-pilot & 1 for jpilot

3) how can you send images, pdf files, doc files & the likes back & forth to & from the palm pda, i know about pics&videos plugin for jpilot but never got that to work. it seems that it can only sync 1 way & that's not back to a format that the machine can read i.e jpeg .3gp or what ever. when you do a sync of the palm it turns into a sync database (what i am looking for is some way to be able to send the files from the laptop to the palm & send the same stuff from the palm back to the laptop (( if i take a image on the camera ))

4) is there any other plugins for gnome-pilot what improves on the default install of it & if they are (how easy are they to install under a fedora core distro)

sorry about the long post but as i've said at the start i am a newbie to using any sort of palm under linux and from i have read it could be all in a different tounge as all i know is how to plug stuff in & switch on thx
