Plug device in and then run dmesg about 30 seconds later. What does the output provide on the newly recognized hardware, should be at the end of the output?

I solved it.i deactivated the usb controller (onchip usb in bios) on the mainboard because it was (i think) in conflict somehow with the controller on the pci card with the usbs.
