HI
I have just installed FC9 on my computer and used it for a day and every thing was fine and nice.
but now during the boot up i get a horrible error saying

(i.e., without -a or -p options)

What causes this error? why? how?
what do i do?
could it be that my mother board is at fault here? i ask this because I have two hard drives and the one with windows in needs at least three attempts to boot from and its name has changed to a long string of nonsense from the original "Matxtor something".

did you try running what the error msg asked to do i.e "fsck"? seems some problem with your file system.
i dont think it has anything to do with your motherboard, nothing like that to worry about.

if i say yes itll just throws back the same error but with different block number

2 questions:

You used LVM to set up the Volume group, is the volume spanned across the 2 disks you mention?

If your volume is not spanned over the 2 disks:

Have you tried booting the system with the flaky windows drive disconnected?

the lvm which the fedora is installed on is on just one disk.
and i have disconnected the drive with windows on.
