help for kpf security problem

kpf security patch and mandrake 9.0

Hi there,

I'm sorry for cross posting this, but I think that I put it under the wrong place before.

I am running Mandrrake 9.0 and wanted to share some files via KPF - but its my understanding that there is a security hole that allows people to get at any file on your computer.

http://www.kde.org/info/security/adv...20021008-2.txt

It says to install the patch under kdenetwork/kpf - but I do not have either this particular folder or file and I ran all sorts of searches. Nevertheless, the bug still exists on my system.
So Now I am asking:
1. what do I patch the file to?
2. Do I patch it by having the patch in the same directory as the file and typing $patch oldfile newpatch.diff ?

I would really like to share some files, but certainly not everything

Thanks
