help! fedora 6.90 live CD can not boot up on my pc
i tried to use a fedora 6.90 live CD on my home PC, but wouldn't boot
up, there was a message: vesamenu.c32: attempted dos system call, i stopped there. at school, the CD worded well. |
when you boot your PC go into the BIOS setup screen, (normally press del or a F key when it prompts)
the find the section on boot order. make sure that the CD drive is set to boot before the hardrive |
are you using an old machine?
I get the same error in my older machine, but not in two newer ones, it seems to be related to VESA compatibility |
You can get past the vesamenu.c32 error by typing linux at the boot: prompt.
