help, dual boot xp and RH9


Helpp, im instaling linux redhat 9 and im dual booting with Win XP profesional, when i install i put the lilo boot on the boot partion and i use a boot disk to booting linux then i try using Pboot from partionmagic he ask which partion that i wish to be bootable then i chose linux partion and its suddenly rebooting system and enter lilo by its self and i can enter linux smoothly but when i enter Xp theres come message "autochk not found" and the system skip the autochk proses but after that a fatal error message apear not system shutdown, i tried using a xp boot disk but i cant enter my windows partion (c:\) i only can my data partion(e:\ but become c:\) the problem is i have a files that i save in the windows partion that i really need it, since redhat cant read my windows partion ive tried so many way to read it but still cant read, please help me i have to save my data its really important,..

Have you tried to mount windows partitions from linux

If you are not able to get back your xp up and running, you can still save your data by using the command mount and mount the windows partition . Have used in win-x and DOS but not on NT or XP though. Good luck
