Help download repository indexes

This happens sometimes but I'm just curious why it's happening.

I press the update button and get this message, could not download repository indexes,

The other message is: Failed to fetch http://packages.linuxmint./distos/ma...amb64/Packages Unable to connect to linuxmint.com

Can anyone explain..................

This happens when the system can't connect to the Mint servers. This either means that your system is not connected to the Internet or the server is currently not available.
