HELP default gateway

Hi i installed linux on my laptop and managed to get the centrino to work however i have to type "route add default gw 192.168.1.254"
everytime i start up to enable the wireless is there a way to get it icommand to be permanent(everytime i start up its there)? I've already enble the default gateway in yast to be the router address. help

If you are telling me sthing abt the /etc/rc'd folder pls tell me precisely what file to change and where to add it in the script

what version of SuSE (apparently SuSE, if you are talking about Yast) do you have?

Hi,

In most of the distro you can configure your default gateway in a file in /etc/sysconfig/network/ and the file name is eth0-ifup or something like that

When you'll find it, edit it and add (or modify) this line:
GATEWAY=192.168.1.254
