Help connecting to internet


Hello i installed ubuntu 9.40 on my laptop as the only os on it is there a usb modem stick for it help please I HAVE A CRICKET USB MODEM AND IT WONT WORK

That is not enough information to get you any useful answers.
For starters, the output of the command
lsusb
or
lsusb -v
could be useful.
Then I found this:
